Lesson Plan LP-03 — Classroom: Brief & Debrief Clinic
Type: Classroom / workshop
Duration: 180 minutes
Module link: 05 (supports 04 & 08)
MaxFli TRI Course
Objectives
- Deliver a competency-framed brief covering Doc 9995-style objectives (minimum competency standard, handling, TEM) and session structure: Evaluation phase → Manoeuvres training phase → Scenario-based training phase (Part I, 7.3 paraphrased).
- State TRI coaching level per phase (observe / active trainer / may intervene to develop).
- Facilitate a debrief with ≥50% trainee talk-time; announce outcome early when assessing; include strengths (Part I, 7.8; SD29 facilitation / self-analyse emphasis).
- Close with standard clarity and a tailored next step linked to Evaluation evidence; integrate CRM/TEM with technical themes (SD29 §8 / FSTD practice).
Competency focus
Communication · Leadership & Teamwork · Problem Solving & Decision Making · Situation Awareness

Success look-like
Briefs state Evaluation phase / Manoeuvres training phase / Scenario-based training phase with matching TRI behaviour; debriefs produce competency/NTS-tagged outcomes (strengths + root causes) without TRI monologue.
